has found a home.
I used an orphan dresden plate block with some stash fabric & made a BLanKeT of LoVe.
I even pieced the binding from a few small pieces of scrap.
The quilting design is only subtle but works well with the dresden I think.
I will pop it into the box to be delivered to the local hospital.
I also made another smaller blanket using just fabric with a lovely colour and grid pattern.
Of course I quilted it in the "grid" ... it's nice & simple... but effective.
It is now safely packed in the box as well.
Another 2 projects added to my
Scrap Busting Challenge this month.
This is a slightly modified Christmas tree embroidery but the bag making details are still the same.
I think this tree fits the bag centre a little better.
The FREE instructions are over HeRe at... www.gonestitchin.net ... under "Seasonal".
I was recently paired with Julie from Jewells blog... over HeRe... in the Initial Heart Swap.
These are the gifts I mailed to Julie...
A Pin Cushion... DrawString Bag & a Pin/Needle Keeper... all in matching "sewing machine" fabric.
Of course I HaD to enclose some YuMMo chocky bikkies too.
I also enclosed a wooden heart (made by my brother) in the parcel as well.
There is a heart & the Initial J on the PiN Cushion & the Pin / Needle Keep.
I was contacted this week by an Initial Heart swapper who didn't receive her partners details ... the email apparently went into cyber space. Unfortunately I am away from home at present and cannot look this info up....so I would like to apologise to the receiver because your gift will arrive after Valentines day. I am truly sorry but there is nothing I can do to access the relevant details.
So if YOUR parcel doesn't arrive... please be patient & understanding.... & as soon as I get the info I will pass it along to the sender.
I hope everyone has their finished parcel in the mail by now.
You can open your gift whenever you like & I'm sure all of us will want to see pics...
so please write a blog post when you get the chance.
I am away right now so I will have to wait until I return home to THANK my partner.
Please let me know when you RECEIVE your package so I can mark you off the list.
I wish everyone a very happy Valentine's Day & I thank you all for playing along in this swap.
is on again this week. I really don't know where January went... Do YoU ?
Anyhoo... please feel free & most welcome to join in this month.
All you need to do is link up below.
AND if you would be so kind, can you place the FNwF button on your blog.
I always liked the motto...The MoRe The MeRRier... so the more bloggers who know we get together the better.
I will have a nice "slice" to share as well... so come join me thisFriDaY...
when I'll be stitching with my online "friends".
